How I became a Gammill Statler Stitcher quilter
My wife pieces quilts. I would always accompany her to quilt shops, and while she was shopping, I would stand in a corner and wait. One day the owner of the shop introduced himself to me and ask me what my project was for the day. I informed him that I was on my way to but a new dually pickup. He exclaimed, don't do that, buy a quilting machine. I pondered that proposal for about three weeks. I decided that I really would like to spend more time with my wife, her sewing room is upstairs and I usually would watch TV while she made quilts. So I decided to take the quilt shop owners advice. Now I quilt on my Statler Stitcher, upstairs, and she pieces. I feel this is a great arrangement.
